The Ringlemere Ensemble takes its name from the Ringlemere Oast where rehearsals take place.

It overlooks the spot where the Ringlemere Cup was discovered by a metal detectorist in 2001. The Bronze Age treasure, dating back to between 1700 and 1500 BC is now in the possession of the British Museum and is listed as one of their top ten treasures.
